Cyrus Cylinder.
The Cyrus Cylinder is associated with the reign of Cyrus the Great and is one of the most recognisable surviving objects of ancient Persian statecraft. It is used here as a civilisational reference to law, governance and continuity. It should not be labelled the world's first human-rights charter - a claim that remains historically contested.
